"BIG BANG" - the latest innovation from IMS
 

With fewer, smaller holes and with a slightly smaller hole pattern - basket holes do not go to the edge like regular IMS competition baskets.

-  “FH” in the code means flat base
-  “BB” stands for big bang hole-boring pattern

The basket's hole pattern is unique due to its spacing - which gets narrower towards the center. This “Big Bang” pattern enables more flow through the center to offset side channeling. 

The resulting extraction is very uniform which emphasises the sweetness of the coffee and reduces acidity, allowing for a very balanced cup.

-  the basket is slightly wider than the original and may be a tight fit and
-  you may have to remove the plastic portafilter insert on some models, as the double basket may be too deep
